Clubs & Activities

Saint Michael offers a variety of clubs and activities for students to explore, enabling them to hone their God-given talents and augment their leadership skills. The clubs currently available to all students are as follows:
Drama Club – The Drama Club exists to allow students not enrolled in a drama class to participate in the schools winter and spring drama productions. Students are encouraged to try out for roles, assist with costume and/or set design and construction, or to be part of the production’s support staff. Drama Club members meet during the school’s midday break and after school, when scheduled. The faculty advisors for the Drama Club are Mrs. Sandra Spencer.
History Club - The History Club is the oldest and most popular student club at Saint Michael. The club meets every other Monday to discus historic events and to war game historic battles and military campaigns. Game activities incorporate all aspects of conflict– political, economic, military and social– so that students can learn the total impact war has on a society. The faculty advisor for the History Club is Mr. Steve Johnson.
Student Government Association - The Student Government Association, or SGA, is comprised of elected student officials who meet regularly with the school administration, Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) and Hospitality Committee to plan student activities and voice concerns or ideas raised by the student body. The SGA organization includes an Executive Committee, comprised of a President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Class Representatives from each grade level. Executive Committee members are elected in the spring for the upcoming year and Class Representatives are elected in the fall. The SGA meets, on average, once a week with the school administration. The advisor for the SGA is Mrs. Ann Brown.
Yearbook - Members of the yearbook staff work throughout the year conducting interviews, collecting information, and taking photos for use in compiling the school’s yearbook. The Yearbook staff meets periodically to discuss yearbook content, layout and design, with meetings held during the midday break and after school. The faculty advisor for the Yearbook is Mrs. Regina Hiney who is assisted by parent volunteer Justine Lane.
Additional clubs and activities will be added in the future as the student population and interests dictate.

The mission of Saint Michael the Archangel High School is to prepare each student to lead an exemplary Christian life through the development of his or her full academic, spiritual, moral, artistic, and athletic potential.
