Athletics
The mission of the Saint Michael the Archangel High School Athletic Department is to provide comprehensive physical fitness/health and competitive sports programs that complement and contribute to the spiritual and academic development of our students.
The department, under the leadership of the Athletic Director, strives to provide students with an environment that promotes physical fitness, teamwork, sportsmanship, hard work, and self-discipline; challenges students to maximize their potential on and off the field; and develops student character through a positive and supportive environment that builds self-confidence in their physical, mental and emotional abilities.
Our programs are designed to enable students to build and maintain healthy bodies so that they can glorify God to the best of their individual and collective abilities.
Saint Michael the Archangel High School is a member of the Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association (VISAA) Northern Region, and the Delaney Athletic Conference (DAC), and also is recognized as a Category 1 competitor for scheduling purposes by the Virginia High School League (public high school association).
