Graduation Requirements
Saint Michael the Archangel High School offers a classic, college-preparatory curriculum that is both centered in Catholic values and adheres to high standards and expectations for individual achievement and social responsibility. In order to earn a diploma from Saint Michael, each student is required to have a total of 28 credits. Additionally, we encourage students to take leadership roles or participate in various extracurricular activities such as student government, yearbook, and class service projects to further round out their high school experience.
Our graduation requirements are as follows:
- 4 Credits in Sacred Studies
- 4 Credits in Math: Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, Calculus
- 4 Credits in Literature/Composition: Ancient, Medieval, Modern, American
- 3 Credits in Social Studies: Ancient, Medieval, Modern; U.S. History, U.S. Government, Economics
- 3 Credits in Science: Chemistry, Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, Environmental Science, Physics
- 2 Credits in Physical Education/Health: PE-1, PE-2, PE-3, PE-4
- 2 Credits in Fine Arts: Studio Art, Music Appreciation, Drama
- 2 Credits in Foreign Language: Spanish, French, Latin
- 4 Credits in Electives: A variety of options exist
